The investigation remains ongoing and there is no evidence to suggest that any information has been or will be misused. Out of an abundance of caution, we engaged a team of information security experts to investigate the matter thoroughly. The privacy and protection of information remains a top priority of this office. The Broward County Clerk of Courts has taken the necessary steps to address this issue and is committed to maintaining all information with the utmost care and security. Upon discovery, we began an internal review and implemented additional security measures.
On August 1, 2023, the Broward County Clerk of Courts became aware of a potential information security issue, which may have allowed certain non-public records on our public website to be accessed without authorization.
